CERN records subatomic particles travelling at a speed higher than the speed of light

According to Einstein's special theory of relativity, no mass in this universe can travel over the speed of light. If any mass travel close to the speed of light, it experiences mass and length contraction. But, no mass can ever travel at speed higher than that of light, as any mass that hits the speed of light transforms into energy.

However, the recent discovery at CERN Large Hadron Collider has the potential to baffle the minds of physicists. In one recent experiment at the CERN, some of the accelerated neutrino particles were observed to be travelling at a speed higher than the universally constant speed of light.
